Mobile Or Saloon The Choice Is Yours

By Dennis E. Price

Hairdressers on the move are also called mobile stylists which is fairly apt for them as they go round people's houses who can not go outside for whatever reason and attend the hairdressing saloon. Reasons for not making it to your hairdresser would include living in an aged persons home or attending a wedding and wishing that the hair dresser come to you for time saving rather than everyone making their way to the hairdressers.

Other services which are required by mobile stylists would include prisons and armed military personnel who are stationed in barracks and are restricted to the public appearances. There are plenty of times hairdressers are in demand which we often forget when we go about our daily business.

Whether you work in a saloon or on the road delivering your services. All your certificates and qualifications are still required to be up to date on the latest styling and colouring which is on the market as your clients will always ask for the latest in the way of hairdressing. Although your customers may not be able to go and out they are still interested in what is happening in the line of hairdressing. The read magazines and watch shows which are hip and trendy and will ask you for your advice on what style them. Mobile or saloon stylists should always be able to work in either environment.

When arriving at a client's home or other place of work. The hairdresser which is mobile must ensure that they have all their tools and equipment with them to complete the hair style in question for the day. Remember and bring along their hair dressers, straighteners, scissors etc in order to complete the job. Sinks and towels will normally be present at the house in question but don't take this for granted and always ask.

Being professional is all part of the image of a mobile hair stylist. Clean, presentable and tidy will reflect on your work practices and gain the trust of the client. This also means that your own should be neat and tidy with well groomed nails and overalls. The biggest part of the job though is to have their own transport mode in the way of their car.
