With the large variety of funny Android apps that are available on the various app markets, it is no surprise that most people today have at least one or two absolutely great ones. There are of course the childish ones such as fart noises and burping sound machines. But the truly great ones are there if you look hard enough.
In the past, there was only one place to get these as well and that was the Android Market. Today however that has changed. Google has turned it all around and now they call their market Google Play. Seems to be a play on words. Either that, or they are trying to just put the word "play" into peoples heads subliminally and have them thinking about playing every time they log on.
Of course, some of these really depend on your sense of humor and that of your friends. You need to have a friend that will be able to take the joke as it was intended and not too seriously. Otherwise things like this have been known to end friendships. So user be warned, you'll never know how your friends might take it.
Many of the good ones are even free these days. Regardless of if they are free or not, if people want a specific application they will usually pay a couple bucks for it. Of course when they are free they like it even more. The application developers will sometimes offer the first app they make for free in order to build up a following in preparation for their next one.
When choosing the apps that you download you really have to be wise and think hard about what you are going to do with it after you get it. If you get an application that makes people fat, choose the right people to do it to. If you get a fart noise machine, don't run through church blasting it behind the priest. Simple common sense should apply.
Even though that is true, I have seen some information lately that suggests that a good portion of what is popular among their offerings is anything that is funny. Apps that tickle a person's funny bone or that can take a group of people and get them laughing together seem to have a bigger draw on the public than others.
Some of the traditional ones are just as good today as they were a year or two ago when they first came out. That is because they are truly funny, but once you see them once or twice the fun is over. Thing is, not everyone has seen them. So if you are one of the people who have yet to experience the talking cat or dog or auto-tune animal you are in for a treat.
Funny Android apps are not going to disappear anytime soon either. With cell phones just becoming more technologically advanced and more and more people having them, look for such applications to get even bigger. Developers know that the way to people's wallets is by making them giggle and chuckle and they will do everything they can to make that happen.
