Clothing Labels And Some Of Its Uses

By Debra Cooley

Clothing labels would be very useful to date out every clothing and garment. These are often used to tell about its brand and will serve as a physical textile labeling on all garments. This has been important to most industries especially those that are dealing with apparels. These may as well vary depending on its quality either woven, printed and those hang tags.

These tags are often used to list the sizes of garments, tell where it was made, the materials that it is made of and how to care for such. These may also have the name of the manufacturer and may even have numbers. However, there are many modern garment makers that put such information through silk screens and print it outside the apparels.

Such labels will usually come in different types. The brand and main label will indicate about the logo of the specific company that produces the clothes. This will play a significant role to the customers because many of them will purchase only those that are from well known companies. It is usually associated with the product quality and durability.

The size label will define a certain set of measurements that are used for the human body. It is usually printed to inform about its size. The usual sizes will be small, medium or large. By having this, a customer would be able to choose what size would fit him exactly.

A care label will include the wash and ironing instructions. This is usually attached at the side seam. The purpose of this is to warn the owners on what to do in washing, drying and ironing to maintain its color, designs and other color bleeding problems. This may also include other information such as its fiber contents.

The outside seam usually have some attached flag labels. These are generally created from its brand logos. It is primarily used to provide an extra design feature for any clothing apparel or garment.

A manufacturer label will tell about the code of the manufacturer that is given to the buyers. Many of the international buyers would buy garments from various parts of the world and distribute it all over the world. Whenever a buyer would need to track the manufacturer of the specific product, they will often use the code that is printed.

A batch mark label indicates which particular sewing line or what batch had made the specific garment. This if often neglected by some buyers and brands. There are some manufacturers of garments that will only add this to pass the inspection process and to rectify which line had made such clothes. This is also attached at the side seam under the wash care tag.

The special clothing labels are usually placed to attract the attention of any customer by the time he would buy clothes. Putting these would allow some manufacturers to have their names and be known all over the market. This is probably the easiest ways to make them widely recognized by some people and so that they could have further expansions.
