By Laura Brown

New times have given way to many options when it comes to many things. Who would have thought that it would also give birth to new choices for a wedding dress? The designer's creative juices and a consumer's open-mindedness to try out some new things have very good results indeed. A bride can still wear that traditional long white dress but this time, they can stop for a while and consider whether they would want something new and different. Now that the options have expanded immensely, the new brides could also play with the choices to match the outfit with their attitude and personality. This could be a once in a lifetime chance so why not let the lady decide for what she really wants?

Wedding Gown Inspiration

Most of the modern wedding dresses are vintage inspired. From the European Renaissance, timeless wedding gown of Queen Victoria and World War II brides to the popular style of the 90's. Truly, history played a huge part on the bridal fashion's evolution. With a wide range of years to get inspired from, master designers would only have to think of how they can mix it with the new materials and fashion techniques to make it look brand new and trendy.

A vintage inspired wedding dress gives a woman that old world atmosphere with a sophisticated touch. Aside from that, it has the potential to give out what a lady actually wants for her wedding gown after a bit of design planning, alterations and add-ons. There are other things where a designer can get their masterpiece from. It could be inspired from rock formation, winter snow, a famous landmark and more. Other from nature, a design can also be inspirited from music, texture and culture.

The Modern Wedding Gown's Elements

A modern wedding gown is composed of its color, length, design, embroideries, laces and other details that can be added into it. The common outfit of brides on wedding ceremonies are those white, long gowns but at these times, many styles have sprouted and became an instant trend. When it comes to length of the wedding dress, new cuts are being introduced and women can choose from knee-length, mid-thigh cuts and even micro-minis for the daring type.

When it comes to color, it doesn't always have to be white. There are times when the couple are choosing a color theme for their wedding. This is the best opportunity to try out different colors for the bride. Many have tried blue, green, pink, purple and peach. When it comes to cuts and designs, asymmetrical wedding dresses are the hottest nowadays. A bit of embroideries, laces and further details will bring that dream modern wedding dress to perfection.
