Star Wars And Rose Tattoo Designs

By Darren Hartley

Star Wars is known by almost everyone around the world. Being a very popular film, it has introduced many characters who have become instant favourites among its many followers. These followers have great affection to whichever character they become attached to and show it by inking his image in his body in the form of Star Wars tattoos.

The huge variety of Star Wars tattoos out there has neutralized the geek value of each design when taken individually. This, however, is not the case for the combination of a Classic Star Wars icon with the queen of cartoon kitties. This particular design crossed the line and made it to the list of ultimate geekdom.

Star Wars tattoos are available in designs that are not bad at all. Darth Vader and Anakin Skywalker are the popular film characters that are most featured in these tattoos. These tattoos have become so popular that contests involving the selection of their best designs have been joined in by fans who prefer to thread the needle to prove their love for the saga.

For centuries, rose flowers have been favoured subjects for artists in paintings. For this reason, it is not at all a surprise that rose tattoo designs have become one of the most chosen themes for both men and women. Known not only for their beauty, these tattoos are also popular for the symbolic meanings they convey.

The meanings associated with rose tattoo designs vary by color. While red roses represent love, beauty and romantic love, yellow roses express joy and friendship. Dark red roses stand for unconscious beauty while black roses symbolize death.

It is believed that Aphrodite, the goddess of love, is responsible for the red color of the rose, believed to be originally white by the Greeks. Two flowers that share a lot of meanings in the world of body art are the rose and the lotus. The lotus is known in the east while the rose is more appreciated in the west. The meaning symbolized by rose tattoo designs are drastically changed when they are combined with other objects, mainly due to the integration of the two images.
