About Short Black And Medium Length Hair Style

By Adah Bumpaus

Short black hair styles are becoming a huge trend. Most women are sure to notice this. Only women who have not left the rock they have been living under still do not know it.

Basically, there are five face shapes; oval, round, square, heart and rectangular. Whatever face shape you may have, it is better to choose a hair style that makes your face appear more oval. The reason the oval face is identified as the best facial shape is because of the perfect symmetry of some of the facial features it has, like the distance from the lips to the bottom of the chin.

There is an easy way to switch up a look by donning short black hair styles, be it an edgy choppy bob or a romantic side swept look. The first on our list of short black hair styles is the sleek and straight hair style. This gives a ultra sweet romantic look with its soft edges, perfect for a date night.

For this hairstyle, the application of a small amount of smoothing cream on the hair is necessary to dampen it, after which, combing it through is the next step. Then, blow dry the hair straight. To touch up any parts that might need that extra smoothing, the use of a flat iron is deemed a necessity. To evenly sweep the hair across the forehead, the end of a tail comb or a bobby pin may be used.

The follicles of black hair are curvy and not straight as is evidenced with various other types such as Caucasian hair. This is why natural tresses has varying degrees of a curl pattern from loose curls to tight kinks depending which is dependent upon the genes. This is also the reason that more black people suffer from ingrown hairs that those of other races. This curly pattern may also be the reason that more black people experience greater hair loss (alopecia).

One thing to remember for the perfect black hair style is to take account of your build. For example, a close cropped black hair style does not suit one with a large frame. So remember to just make sure that your style and frame balance each other! The shape of the face too has to be taken into consideration when choosing the correct black hair style.
