By Georgia Diaz

Rhinestone earrings are very appealing. Most people especially ladies are enthusiastic about acquiring them. This is because they have the appearance of diamonds. Though they look very expensive, they are quite easy to make. There are several designs that you can choose to make. You can come up with anything from chandelier to stud earrings. The kind of design you make will depend on your imagination as well as the money you have.

You need to buy many rhinestones for the exercise. You can either find several large stones or many small ones. To get the pieces together you need a good adhesive. Choose the kind of design you want to come up with. If you are making a stud you can choose a large piece for the middle section and several small ones to form a circle around it.

To make a different design you can find a stone that is square in shape and place several small stones inside the square. It is important to use glue that is hot so that the pieces can stick firmly. It is advisable to apply glue on the biggest piece. Press the other stones on the large stone.

The glue should be applied at the back of the large stone and the earring piece pressed on it. It is advisable to let the glue dry. This process will only take one or two minutes. Any extra glue should be removed from the pieces. Different steps are used to make earrings that dangle from the ears.

Begin by joining one banded row on the middle of a wire made from metal. Use the beads to determine the length of your earring. If you have to change the size this is the right stage to do that. Use the proper adhesive to put everything in position. If you want to create tapered ends cut the sides down. If you want to maintain a constant length then you do not have to change anything.

Increase the number of rows till you get to the edge. You can use banded rhinestones to make a row on top of the wire. To make the earring look fuller add small pieces where there are spaces. Add glue at the back of the earring and press it against the rhinestones and the wire. Any glue that is in excess should be removed.

It is advisable to use flat-back rhinestones when making an earring. This is because it easy to apply glue on these stones. They are also available in a wide range of colors. Choosing the right adhesive is very important. If you choose the wrong glue your earring might fall apart after some time. Clean surfaces that need glue applied on them. It is also important to place rhinestones on areas that are dry and clean.

Any kind of metal will work for the back section of the earring you are making. However, it is important to ensure that the rhinestones cover the back of the earring completely. If you follow the right tips you should have rhinestone earrings that shine just like diamonds for a cheaper price.
