Make Heads Turn With A Red Turban

By Freda Watts

Looking really smart and different at a formal occasion where Indian wear is the order of the day can be quite a task to achieve. If you are sure of yourself, however, opt for a red turban to complete your look and attire. Before you head to the nearest ethnic wear store, think of a few things such as the type, exact shade and the need to buy one in the first place. Once these considerations are thought out, you are ready to pick the head gear that can make heads turn.

The first thing you need to consider is why you need such a gear in the first place. It could be because you wear, often or occasionally, Indian outfits. It could be because of your religion or merely style preference. Attending formal functions dressed up in traditional ethnic wear can look really classy, after all.

Heading shopping right away, however, is not advisable. You have some more aspects to consider. As per the above, if your turban is going to be exclusive, you may as well spend more on it and get one of superior quality.

While this may be what you need to pick up, you would need to remember that there can be various shades of the colour red. The shade that you might want to choose would depend on various factors. For one, your complexion plays a vital role in this selection. If you have fair skin, a bright red may do wonders.

If you have a dark complexion, you may need to choose the right shade appropriately. Do not wear a very bright shade or you may land up looking rather out of place. If you have light or fair skin, on the other hand, a bright or light shade of red would probably look good on your head.

Head gear can look quite stylish if worn the right way. With either white or black formal suits, red head wear can look quite dashing. However, do not be apprehensive of donning the same with grey, dark blue, cream or mustard either.

A head gear such as this would look even more stylish when it has some prints on it, and when worn to a wedding or other formal occasion. However, if you are planning to wear it on daily basis or to a casual function, a strong print may do more damage than good. Be certain of the style that you think suits you well. Opting for plain or fine print is a safer option.

While they serve well on occasions and social functions, wearing such headgear on a normal day may fetch you quite a few unwanted stares. So, avoid wearing it to office, while travelling or simply when you are visiting friends or family.

Wearing a red turban must be done with care and precaution. You can either look supremely dapper or extremely foolish with it on your head. To get the former look, make sure the occasion is correct, the gear itself suitable and your attitude matches the entire appearance.
