Use Coloured contact lenses this autumn and boost your wardrobe

By Jerry Thomas

Using coloured contacts enables you to change your eye colour with your clothes. Contact lenses can change your eye colour from sterling Grey to Violet, from Gemstone Green to Honey.

This autumn, match your eye colour to your outfit

Before coloured contacts, you always had to consider your eye colour when choosing your outfit. Nowadays, thanks to the fantastic choices of coloured contact lenses, we have the freedom to choose the outfit first, then find the best possible eye colour to match it. Whatever styles you're following this autumn, there is an eye colour to really make it look its best.

Bright, bold, floral - use green contact lenses and you can look like Delta Goodrem did on The Voice interviews. One of this autumn's trends is bright, light colours against a neutral background. Like a slinky nude, coloured top, khaki jacket, chunky gold necklace for a bit of bling and a set of gorgeous brown contacts to let the whole outfit shine.

A silvery, sequined, embellishment style is also in, and blue eyes complete this shiny, icy look. Or, if you're rocking the burgundy sweater that's ever so popular at the moment, hazel eyes provide a tasteful complement.

Your eyes can be the window to how your body feels both physically and emotionally. So draw attention to your eyes with Violet or Pacific Blue to make you look like you are truly shining.

Getting the contact lense colour right for your eyes

It is important to get the right tint for your natural eye colour as coloured contact can colour your eyes in two different ways.

Opaque-tinted contacts are perfect for people with both dark and light eyes. The tint completely covers the iris, but the centre of the contact stays open to allow full light transmission to the pupil.

Colourblend contact lenses are great for those with light coloured eyes and the colour is made with a translucent tint. This translucent tint blends with the natural iris colour. There are twelve colour options as well as a unique three in one technology to light up the eyes simultaneously.

Contact lenses for enhancing and defining

If you don't want to change your eye colour, you can enhance your eye colour by using contacts to make your eyes look more defined, brighter and bolder. For example One Day Define contact lenses can give your eye a more vivid look by using a brown ring with very small intricate brown spokes to embolden the iris pattern. Dual layer printing technology can create a more distinctive look by using a starburst pattern to blend with the coloured ring into the iris.
